AC has made exceptions based on pregnancy but that's pretty questionable (gender biased, and pregnancies are generally planned) so even after I was grounded a few years ago for medical reasons, I never used that excuse to ask AC to maintain my SE status. I earned it back the following year, on my own dime. Your grounds certainly don't hold much water be be blunt. You opted to move from MP back to AE, then miscalculated on how much travel you'd be doing...and have not been prepared to do a MR to at least cross the AC50K mark.
