I am not personally attacking you, but what is the point of forum interaction if no one is going to bother to correct inaccuracies? It's not a watered down business product. It's not reduced. It's different. It's subject to personal preference. I happen to much prefer it to the herringbone. As i've said, the problem with it on a 777 is it makes 8 window seats without aisle access. Leg space for sleeping does vary significantly. This does not happen on 767. The seat itself has become a very popular J product on well regarded airlines like Swiss, Austrian etc.

Because it is not to your taste, or someone else's, doesn't change the fact that its a generally well regarded (worldwide) design for a fully lie flat business seat and certainly doesn't deserve a designation that it is not 'worthy' to be called a 'real' business class seat. Of course it is a real business class seat. Many/most find it private and spacious and enjoy the true lie flat. I'd love to hear your review of the seat, but if you don't like it doesn't boot it from the class it obviously belongs in.

One thing I will say is the Air Canada 787 J product will be great, and an improvement on this.

I happen to fully agree with you about 10 abreast on a 777. I think it's downright disgraceful for long haul travel. When Emirates pioneered the concept, they at least would throw a bone with 34" pitch. So much for that. Now I think it's an embarrassment to see allegedly 'leading' 'premier' airlines jump on the bandwagon, especially in North America and a populace that's wider and taller on average than the majority of the world. Big thumbs down to AC, AA, etc
