I need to cancel it or rebook on different routing later in the year and want to know the best way to do this maximise the refund (or make best use of the money I've already paid).

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Just make sure you don't no-show - i.e., cancel your travel well before 1/3.

You will have to pay the change fee (new cash) and any fare difference between the new booked travel and your current fare. The change fee does not 'come out of your refund, even if the new fare is more.

Without having new travel booked I don't know more about maximizing your return since you can't predict fares in advance - except DEN BZN will be cheaper after ski season of course.
