I think I know the answer to my own question but this is my last hope :-)
I have 45K miles this year and need around 5K to make it to Star Gold..
I will fly around 8K miles on 4th January...is there any way to request
United to extend the calendar year to January 4 ???

I do not think MP has any soft landing since I was a Premier Platinum
last year...If they did, I would not have to worry about it..
