Range? DL lists the A330-200 at 6536 miles. NRT-DTW is 6390 miles vs MSP 5942. Only 447 miles difference, less than an hour. (At 5343 miles range the A330-300 cannot do either route.)

However if the jet stream is strong I guess 146 miles cutting it too close to schedule this route? A diversion westbound would be much more likely and with fewer choices, but eastbound it is usually a tailwind and they could always divert to MSP. D’oh.

But +1 on the great A330 J seat oops I mean Y seat. ^
