Does everybody else think National is expensive? Maybe I'm not in "the know" and not doing something right... I just priced a 3 day Friday-Monday rental and used the free weekend day coupon and the rental total is about $115. If I go to Hotwire or similar sites and price the same class car (standard) I get tons of rates for the same trip for right at $50. Less than half the price on National's website.

Am I missing something here? Is there some secret to get National's rates lower or is that just the price you have to pay if you want to use them? I do like using the Executive Aisle but $50 vs. $115 is quite a steep difference!
