Just give the M&M miles to a charity ... This program is just big bull*. I have flown every year between 60k and 80k miles (for the last 5 years). Last year I made it up to 97k but still a freakin' FTL. No messages, No upgrades ... just plain nothing.
Flyertalk opened my eyes. I'm now *G on TK and A3 (earned not matched) and United Mileage + silver due to Marriott.
Just read and leave M&M as soon as possible. I can't say anything positive ....

Thanks people. Managed to squeeze in my latest flights (Turkish Air Lines): DAR-LAX so going to end year with 29K points. Not bad for a Flying Blue lifer timer who got shuttled to M&M in 2013. If I could of done retro claims for 2012 I Would of been easy gold now with all my FRA-MAL(Malabo EG) flights but I was in denial then.
Impressions of Star flights recently taken:
Lufthansa-Coldly efficent but no sparkle.
Ethiopia-Been told largest airline in Africa-Some old metal but good A to B on a massive continent just emerging.
Turkish Airlines-Even in economy great AV, USB ports and Wi-Fi. Definitely an up and comer but hate the jingle: "We are Turkish Airlines, we are totally yours." Doesn't even rhyme.
I did all the Asian airlines, Singapore, Cathay, Thai years ago. They don't need a FF program, we gadly pay to fly their friendly skies.
