My point in this thread was that people don't often go to the "Join Skymiles link" often. You do it once or even a couple of times for family but when you are done, you are done. One doesn't really follow the ins and outs of signing up once you have done it.

So when one goes to the link to sign up and the only option seen is to do it as they present it, you do it. It should be a no hassle process.

It was a no hassle process for my older son but when I got to the 12 YO, it forced me to do that consent form. I never saw where it said or you can call and we will do it over the phone for you.

There really shouldn't be any drama in signing up a new member.

Its easy now that the experts have chimed in but for those who just show up here needing an account, its not that black and white
