PMNW had more non stops into Asia somewhat earlier. For example, I remember taking MSP-HKG, JFK-Osaka (to the international terminal in the old airport), someplace(maybe DTW)-KIX, but of course then there was nothing to China. Yes, I was just making the point that the nature of DL's Asia network today is quite different from NW's in 2008. And NW was already moving in the direction that DL is taking now, with the 787 order and announced plans for DTW-PVG and SEA-PEK.
