Back to bassinets, I realized yesterday my flight tomorrow had been switched from 77W to A380, so my wife and my seat assignments (bassient and seat behind bassinet - in J) now don't correspond to bassinet seats. They did not inform is of the change of equipment, so I had to call SQ to get back a bassinet seat. Agent called the airport staff to make the request and i have been told should be fine, but "no guarantees". It's a bit annoying no notice was given on the equipment change when the switch was made a few months ago, but it sounds like SQ airport supervisor will fix our problem.
To my experience, such seat assignments with infants/kids are really attended quite well by SQ, even without any status. I had quite a few very pleasant experiences in the past on various stations, from seat blocking to re-assignement of seats on a fully booked flight everything seems to be possible. But PPS will surely give you additional attention.
