That is besides the point. Since I received confirmation emails from IHG for each promo code, I booked a hotel specifically for the purpose of receiving bonus points. If IHG don't deliver on that promise, then I consider that unfair...

Can anything be done? Of course not. IHG are incapable of even crediting me my fully-earned airline miles from the Big Win promotion, so I shouldn't expect any better regarding promotions.
