You were told wrong. It is admittedly confusing, because generally, in Flybe flights you have to pay for everything. However, these are not really Flybe flights, but Finnair flights operated by Flybe aircraft - actually Flybe aircraft painted in Finnair colours, so if you didn't have that 'operated by Flybe' in your ticket receipt, you might never have noticed it has anything to do with Flybe. (This have also been told here several times.) That means that Finnair markets these as its own flights and sells tickets, you cannot even get a Flybe ticket for these flights.

But you will soon be flying and finding these things out in practice. Have a nice trip!
