Current bonus is 25,000 MR after spending $2,000 on the first three months and an extra 15,000 MR after you spend $30,000 in a calendar year. The great thing about the MR is the fact that it will give you flexibility in terms of using your points for travel since you can transfer it to Delta, BA and SQ for your air travel and Hilton and SPG for your hotel.

If you check the above referral I'm pretty sure someone in the US can provide you a referral for extra MR bonus. I love my Gold Card and I find the flexibility and the no spending limit the best feature since I travel tons for work.
I agree with the recommendation of the gold card, but the 3x is only on airfare, not on travel as a whole.

Also, there is a spending limit, it's just not a pre set limit. You won't be able to charge anything you want, but if you prove you can charge stuff and pay it off, you'll be able to spend as much as you need.

Regardless, 2x on groceries and gas and 3x on airfare seem to be a good deal given your spending, and you could get at least 25k bonus and no fee the first year. Seems like a good deal assuming you're okay moving from cash to points.
