Ah yes, the Imperial Household Agency, the prigs who objected to newspaper photographs of the second prince's fiancee ruffling his hair, who kept Emperor Hirohito "alive" as an animated corpse for weeks because they thought Crown Prince Akihito was just a snot-nosed kid of 55, whose official guides won't tell about or let visitors see the interiors of any of the buildings of the unoccupied Kyoto Imperial Palace on the grounds of "privacy" (although they sell photo books of the interiors--I advise people just to buy the photo books and skip the tour), who were scandalized when Akihito and Michiko wanted to raise their own children instead of having them live in a separate palace and be brought up by servants from age three.
Lovely people.
