I'm flying tomorrow and right now the F cabin appears to be wide open (yes, I know this could change).

Has anyone ever had luck getting the GA to process an upgrade after the list is cleared and all other eligible pax are upgraded? I know that the companion cert. does not allow upgrades, but I wonder about flexibility after the list is all cleared and after they try to sell seats?
