Do Star Alliance business class travelers still get access to the Silverkris lounge at Changi Airport?

I had read several times that any *A J and F flights would get access to these lounges (I think on FT, but also on lounge indexing, and flyer guide wikis), but after a discussion with a local airline agent now have concerns.

I am flying MEL to SIN on SQ, with a 6 hour 40 minute stopover then SIN to BKK on TG, all on a business award flight through Lifemiles.

I had contacted the local SQ office about my flight to SIN, and at the end of the call they reminded me that I would have TG lounge access before I flew out on the next leg of the trip. I asked why not SQ lounge, and they said that it would only be access with the airline I was flying out with.

Now, I am hoping that this is just a local agent with bad information, especially considering that I have such a long stopover; but thought I would try to get other FT member's insights.

FYI: I unfortunately do not have *A status, and am asking about Silverkris rather than Gold Krisfler (which I believe is about the same quality as TG SIN lounge).
