With regard to your complaints, it seems that there was in fact an entertainment system but you didn't like what it offered. There were also other meals served that you said were "bearable." So you didn't starve. As far as the frozen food is concerned, the airline needs to pack food that is not going to spoil in the many hours between the time it is loaded and the time it is served. Unfortunately sometimes it is a little frozen. I've experienced that too on occasion. It's hard to get everything right when arranging to serve a few hundred people at 35000 feet. This was coach on a longhaul flight. Some trips are better than thers. Many (mst?) of us have had similar experiences.
Yes, this is an airline, not a restaurant, but give me a break on thinking that that makes frozen sandwiches and very cold main dishes acceptable. Not even the worst restaurants I've been to are as bad as United.

I should have been more specific in saying that there was no in seat entertainment system. Yes, that is pathetic on an overseas flight by my standards.

Are you in love with United for some reason? Is any level of lack of service O.K. with you?
