Agreed. If there were changing the redemption amounts, I feel they would have mentioned it in the letter. (Though, with Barclays horrendous customer service, nothing would surprise me.)
The letter basically just says that you will request reimbursement for charges rather than redeem points at the time of making a Travelocity purchase. That said, half the time when I make a Travelocity purchase on Travelocity, it doesn't post as a Travelocity purchase. I wonder if that's going to be a problem.
If the 20,000 points = $400 redemption option was axed, this card wouldn't be at all competitive, especially for the second and third generations of the card.
