Again there was zero apology when our sandwiches were replaced with simply cold and damp ones. There was also ice cream which was rock hard and broke my spoon before I had a taste. I gave up and went hungry until breakfast.

United is a joke. They brag about their service, but we saw no evidence of service. Bye bye!!!
This is sadly about par for the course with UAL, they are now a bottom feeder airline. Send a complaint to UAL (they will ignore it) and then tell your friends, co-workers, and family to avoid the "flier friendly" airline.

and p.s. sadly the 747 and now the 787 are AWFUL in coach on UAL. The 777 and 767 are slightly better.
