I too would say that 1W is the superior alliance, although not by much, especially given UA's drastic devaluation. CX/JL F can be had for half of what UA would charge for partner F, that is assuming that you can get a F on SQ/NH.

But then again US/AA miles will probably be worth less once the merger is completely finalized.
