Mileage running with airline capacity and rules today might be the stupidest thing I will hear this year. Ok, a few thousand short of 1k made it doable for years but with spend and miles, OMG you are doing the airline a huge favor. Unless an extremely creative way of achieving 1k starts appearing on FT, I think your nuts.

The reduced chances of UG with TOD and capacity will get a lot worse for domestic IMO for some time to come.
