I'm trying to book a holiday for my 30th, ideally a long weekend or week away somewhere. At the moment I think I've narrowed it down to either Oman or New York. I'll be going with the other half however she's been to new York in the last 4 years hence isn't massively keen on going again so soon.

I want to go Club (mfu) for the first time hence looking for a long haul destination. From the two options which would FT's recommend? Any other suggestions? We tend to go on back packing holidays however fancy something a bit more civilised and relaxing for my 30th (getting old and all that )
