2014 Mileage / Segment / Dollar Run Logic
To those who are smart...
Assuming elite benefits are worth the time/money...
Any simple guidelines on this for 2014?
I have been 1K the last few years. Looking at my 2012 and 2013 revenues and with US Air leaving Star Alliance (some places I went to this year were not served by UA), I am a little worried on both the mileage and dollar fronts. So, I already have a mileage/dollar run scheduled for January.
Before, it was: spend the least amount of money for the most miles or segments.
Now, is it: figure out what you need the most (dollar or miles/segment) and go for it?
Of course, pure mileage runs are still useful for those trying to make MM.
