I'd agree with you on both points.

I like plenty of ice in my G'n'T - nothing worse that those horrible pub glasses, with 2 melting ice cubes, sh!te gin, and tonic from a pump, topped off with a manky lemon slice. Yeuch

I'd generally go with Tanqueray (export strength) although we've got a few bottles of Gordon's with the clear glass and nice old fashioned label floating about (again export strength). Bombay - not a fan. Hendricks bit of an acquired taste. Export strength Beefeater is OK. Is Booth's still about?
