Just passed through a lounge at an outstation that had no lemon. Clearly not a good starting point for a G&T. I found the lemon CONCENTRATE that was offered instead to be utterly disgusting, though it allowed me to claim I had a water when sending a picture of my drink to HWMBO. On board the (otherwise excellent) cabin staff insisted on emptying the whole mini bottle into my glass and hand me a can of tonic to go with it. As you might guess the first half of the drink was stiff as an upper lip, and the second one was slightly less so. All made worse by it being this awful London dry gin. Why can't we have some of that nice Tanqueray on mainline that Cityflyer frequently offers?
