I will probably go, still debating what events I'll do.

Highly likely: some swimming (typically distance free and breast), as well as the o/w swim.

Somewhat likely: some running events

I had thought of cycling and/or triathlon, but balancing all this in the same time, as well as the extra $$$, will get a bit dicey.


My brother and family live near Chagrin Falls. I visited last year and stayed in Solon, which worked well. I'll have to see where the particular venues are located, the parking situation, etc. But I don't mind staying in Solon again.


Has anyone swum in Lake Erie recently? The o/w swim is listed as:
Lake Erie
Edgewater Park, Cleveland, Ohio

I'd have to not register for any swimming events on 8/10, since they don't yet have times posted for the o/w swim... Does anyone know how the pool at Cleveland State is?

I have a request (demand) from my other half that we be out of the country for his 50th birthday, which is on 8/10.

I'm considering doing a couple of events there...maybe the 200 breast, 400 free, then the o/w. That would get in a few swims, and should allow enough time for exploring the Montreal area. I've been, but it has been ages (since the mid-80s I think), and I don't think he's ever been.
