I had that a few months back with a redemption on MH, SIN-KUL-PEK. It was available online but the agent could not see it even gave the flight numbers. The agent was also very confused.

In the end I booked it online, called back afterwards to cancel a sector SIN-HKG-PEK previously booked on CX.
