Resolution 302 and FF benefits

Hi,

I read a lot about IATA resolution 302 and the most significant carrier rule, however I never found a definite answer with regards to frequent flyer benefits and how they are applied to journey's. So here goes my question:

I plan to fly VIE-DUS-MIA-POS (and return) with Air Berlin, and the final connection (MIA-POS) being with American Airlines.

I understand according to resolution 302 Air Berlin is my most significant carrier for my journey, both flying to POS and the return to VIE.

I'm flying with 2 surf bags, which is free with Air Berlin and my gold card (2 bags of 32kgs each): http://www.airberlin.com/site/tb/pro...ow=freeBaggage

Will I be charged something by AA for those surf bags for my connection MIA-POS on the outgoing flight?

How about checking in at POS? Would I be allowed to fly with my Air Berlin Gold allowance of 2x 32kgs, because AB is my MSC?

Thanks for any clarification,
Phil
