I hope someone can advise. I booked a domestic flight for my son with Avios. He has flown down to London and is due to fly back to Scotland beginning of Jan. But now he has the chance to grab a lift by car with a friend for the return trip. Can we change the return flight to a later date? If so do we have to confirm that return trip now? Or can I simply return the return part for a refund of Avios points?

Almost certainly my son will fly back to London in the future.

Can I book a one way flight with Avios?

Not sure if it makes any difference but I am a gold Exec member.

I would appreciate any advice.
