I had an international return flight that connected through EWR on the 22nd. Flight from Europe landed at EWR on time. Flight from EWR to home was delayed over an hour. Once I made it onto the plane, we were delayed for another hour. The attendance announced that we had over 60 bags to load. After 20 minutes, passengers looked out the window and loading was complete. We did not pull back from the gate for another 40 minutes.

In all, I spent over 4 1/2 hours in EWR from the time I re-cleared security.

I was very frustrated that my bag did not make it home with me.

Getting my bag was a completely different nightmare that I intend to communicate with United.
