I was almost 100% certain that was the case. The (tax) laws are stacked against the recreational player. Filing professional, is a really big deal, from the few I know who (legitimately) do it.
My reference to Dov not withholding, was that he could deduct his prior gaming losses from his winnings this trip.

Arrived in AMS. DL32 was half full (perhaps even less) in BusinessElite (I had two seats), and totally full in the back. Quite a few NonRevs flying in the cabin to join their spouses (who were working this flight) in AMS. Wonderful service, cabin crew and flight.
It's very nice, to be home!
