I wanted to know what they are worth. I was planning a trip to Texas to visit my family and these will be expiring in March of next year. When I go to checkout page it says i need to pay $77.50? Do these miles work like $s.. so would 11850 miles = $118.50 towards a flight? If I use different dates and the price was $118.50 for the flight would my trip be free minus any surcharges?

Could this be used in a better way i.e. go to LA or somewhere else..not sure how these miles can be most efficient. thanks.
