I'll pay the taxes -- I really do not need the IRS demanding that I show up in their office in Philadelphia to go over my account.

Taking the standard deduction generally avoids such headaches.

My luck today came nowhere near the heights I had previously reached but I can't complain -- I won $490 without risking a cent of my own.

I had $55 in comp points in my slot card and when I went to get it I found an additional $60 promotional bonus. I played with them and cashed out at $165.

I took that money to the blackjack tables and played several different times (after breakfast, before lunch, and after lunch) and ran the $165 up to $490.

On the other hand, I added $100 to my hotel bill by buying one of their terrycloth bathrobes. It is twice as thick as any other I have seen and when I went to Macy's to see if I could find an equivalent one for less money, I found that they have no thick ones and the thin ones (which I could buy in Israel) cost $90 plus 8% tax.

To top it off, as my hotel is part of the Hilton chain, and I am spending over 4 nights here, I get 1000 base points, 500 My Way points, 500 Diamond points, 3000 4th Quarter bonus points, and 1200 points from my Surpass card. That's a total of 6200 HHonors points which I would not get at Macy's.
