I never rent from Enterprise cause I don't trust rental car agents who wear white shirts. Now having said that, I HAVE heard the "golf ball" test from other rental car agents (although a "quarter" is also frequently used), so it's certainly not unique to Enterprise. In each and every instance I ignore what I'm told, and insist that they document it regardless.
Renting from Enterprise? I'd rather drink Pabst.
