As soon as your AA profile has the EXP status, and your AA FF profile is attached to the reservation, you will gain access to the lounge. You don't need the physical card.
OK, that's good news. I remember reading somewhere where some lounges demanded the physical card, but I'm glad that isn't the case for CX. Thanks!
