RU/ OU Removed After 5-Day Window?
Judging from some recent (and upcoming) flights, it appears that DL has kept RU/OU inventory available for full-Y purchases, SWUs, miles upgrades, etc. and then processed a batch of DM/PMs at the first upgrade window. After this first round, they have removed the inventory for elite upgrades. Do others find that this is a usual practice? Or, is it perhaps due to FCM?
Now, I have no problem with not getting an UG, and I agree that a business practice which allows DL to bring in the most income is best for them, and this means FCM and gate UGs. Just wondering if this is a trend, and outlier, or a long established practice.
