we just came back from 17 days in nov in kyoto, nara, kanazawa and tokyo. just skip nov. kanazawa and osaka had rooms, but even tokyo got pretty full. really did not seem that crowded, but no rooms. for 2014, we decided to do oct. we are now thinking about september.

we found rooms at venere.com for part of our stay. i see that today they have open rooms at 14 of 150 or so hotels in nov 2014
