My favorite Japanese food probably soba and udon, but that wasnt the question. The meals that end with udon often start with sushi or sashimi, and with some tempura thrown in as well (sometimes even thrown in the udon). Hmm, Im getting hungry and I just ate....

Ive had remakably bad luck getting any good udon in Japan . New York is a different story though and my favorite Japanese restaurant in NY specializes in soba and udon.
