Most years, none of my trips are MRs. They're all vacation runs based on MR postings in these forums. This year I did one SEA-DFW-BOS-ORD-SEA MR to get to the 125k mark for AA's Elite Rewards. Ended up getting delayed DFW-BOS and declaring Trip In Vain and heading back on next DFW-SEA (SEA-DFW-SEA put me at 125003 EQM for the year) and getting full trip value back as voucher so a not too bad result.

I do 100k+ on AA & partners each year to keep up EXP . All trips are multi-day stays though with some exploring of the areas. I just use MR posting to help guide my directions. I already have over 100k booked for next year with more trips to come so I'm feeling in good shape. only worry is what will happen to the AA Program after the merger and if US dilutes it so much that its not worth it for future years.
