Greetings UA flyers. Today I received a survey from UA. Overall, I thought that the survey was very well done and that clearly the airline put some thought into it. The question that struck my attention the most was the one that asked how I would rate UA in two words. I'm curious to see what two words you guys would use. I will explain my choices below.
Underachiever
- consistently ranks dead last on external surveys and rankings
- even US Airways (pre-AA merger) achieved higher profit margins
Awful
- from low quality coffee to burritos that cause food poisoning, I find UA's inflight experience to be simply awful
- extremely incompetent and rude Premier Line reservations staff, some don't even know that SFO - EWR - TPA is a valid itinerary and claim that there are no fares filed for such with a connection in EWR
I agree about the burritos that cause food poisoning. They are disgusting and I cannot believe UA thinks they can serve that on a First Class flight, which often cost thousands of dollars. For 20 dollars at the airport before takeoff, you get a decent meal.
