You'll need to speak with BA Holidays to see whether they will allow you to re route your itinerary in that case. Not a straight forward redemption. Although if they do allow a reroute, you are able to get the avios refunded from the original UUA then apply them to the new flight.

Out of interest, what is your current in transit length at IAD?
