Yes, all understood but I think this still misses my point which is that the fare rules which aa.com is showing do not match the fare basis that it is showing i.e. I happen to know that fare basis I4UKJB is a non-refundable fare, but the aa.com pop-up shows it as refundable with a £200 penalty. If I know there is a discrepancy I can obviously call up and check, but my question is whether I need to be doing that all the time on anything other than a very basic itinerary, because I can't rely on what aa.com is telling me ?!
