Today I booked an award ticket AMS-LIN for my 17 year old son.

When I tried to change the seat to economy-comfort, website showed a pricetag of 30 euro or 8000 miles.

Phoned FB and asked why I have to, since my platinum level should allow for free selection of EC seats.
Agent told me that because it's not me who's traveling I have to pay....new policy... When asking about lounge access she said that lounge access is still granted for award tickets.

I guess I've experienced another enhancement of FB benefits
