18 months ago, I bought an LMU on a YYZ-SFO trip just to try it out.
Partly as a result of that, I'm now doing a lot more flying, buying flight passes, etc.
If I'd had a bad experience (like no meal), would I have chased further upgrades, resulting in a lot more revenue for AC? Maybe, maybe not.
