Yesterday, I bought myself a OW ticket BNE-JFK via NAN and LAX on FJ (Fiji) and AA, all in J. Ticket cost was $2850.

I found myself on the 3pm LAX-JFK flight on the 32B (13/2 if anyone is interested). I decided to select the bulkhead row aisle seat.

I had a look at hypothetical costs to book that flight on AA. The prices were astonishing. JFK-LAX costs more in business than JFK-LHR. In fact, OW, the LAX-JFK flight costs $100 more than my BNE-JFK itinerary!
