Not only are most flights today by aircraft at least 1 if not 2 generations newer than the 737-200 Air Florida ran into the Potomac, with more redundancies and protections built in to prevent pilot error, but all airline safety processes and practices have improved with the knowledge gained from past accidents.

Seriously, when was the last time a mainline jet from a United States airline crashed due to pilot error? Delta Airlines is a global airline that operates in many different types of climates. Delta will be fine.
