DL does allow direct flights with a stop but without a "change of gauge." In other words, only on flights that make a stop but without a change of a/c.
DL also soes not allow UM's to travel on either red-eyes or the last flight of the day before a red-eye.
Losing kids in the airport is bad for the airline's image and bottom line.
Are you sure? DL requires the paid UM service up to age 15. DL also requires UM fees when children are in a separate class of service than the adults(s).
However, AFAIK DL does permit UMs to make legal connections, including international, but not for the youngest children. IIRC the age requirement is 8 and they cannot use the last legal connection of the day unless its the only route on the schedule from origin to destination.
