Key word in your post " seasonal" service, which translates to summer weather flying for the most part. It's a different game when your now going with a large scale flight schedule year round. Thats requires a lot of support as well as qualified drivers. When your faced with continuous flying in and out during the harshest months of the year that is the challenge

I remember and it was a very long time ago when I was in the AF we sent TDY to Elemendorf and that was in the fall it was not so nice. First time for me at least "hitting" an iced threshold at 140 clicks "pucker up time"

So I have all the respect for the crews that fly that environment regularly it is not to be taken lightly.
