I flew Y on VS on a DL award ticket a few months ago. My BP did indicate partner elite IIRC. I was able to use the Upper Class check in line, access the Club House, and get other Virgin elite benefits. Even in regular Y, I was able to grab a FastTrack immigration pass on board when I mentioned that I was Delta Platinum.
