I was providing a data point about the CVS reload. Since the reload was categorized as a normal transaction, you can still earn points with Amex cards. Sure, CVS is not a grocery store, so my Amex Premier Gold can't earn x2 points. But loading my Serve card $500/transaction, $1000/day, $5000/month without any fee is pretty good deal to me. No more gift card fees!
This is what I wanted to confirm ( I knew about loading Serve online with CC and limits). That's much better deal, it seems, than BB - at least for me, who buys VRs at CVS to load BB. Now I can skip this step and save on VR's fees.
